Sea Moss

Regular price $22.00

We couldn’t choose just one! Our product contains three types of sea moss; gold, purple and green coming from the pristine, volcanic waters of St. Lucia.

Gold sea moss, also known as Genus Gracilaria, contains 92 of the 102 trace minerals that are essential for the body’s function and development. Purple sea moss has antioxidants called anthocyanins, which are associated with other purple and blue vegetables and fruits. Anthocyanins have been known to treat chronic venous insufficiency, high blood pressure, and diabetic retinopathy, colds, and urinary tract infections. Green sea moss has antioxidants called phycocyanins to prevent oxidative damage and fight free radicals in the body. Phycocyanins also help boost the immune system and aide in the transport of oxygen throughout the body due to its Vitamin B12 content.

Other benefits of sea moss include:

It contains iodine and magnesium for thyroid function

Helps boosts collagen for skin, joints, and connective tissues

Helps muscles recover after an intense workout

Helps to reduce mucus and inflammation in the body

Contains essential nutrients for pregnant and breastfeeding mothers

How to prepare you sea moss gel

Rinse a handful of sea moss at least two times to remove extra salt and sand.

Soak your sea moss for at least 5-6 hours. Make sure the water covers the sea moss by an inch. Check after 3 hours to see if you need to add more water.

Drain soaking water and add sea moss to a blender.

Blend your sea moss with 4 cups of spring water or until the sea moss is covered. Add more water if needed or until you reach your desired consistency. The consistency should ideally be medium thickness, not runny.

Place your sea moss in glass jars. It can be stored in the freezer or refrigerator. Your sea will remain fresh in the refrigerator for up to 4 weeks.

Our 2 ounces of raw sea moss can make at least 2.5, 16 ounce jars of sea moss gel.

1-2 tablespoons can be taken daily, straight, or it can be added to smoothies, broths, soups, milks, and/or stews.

Consult with your physician prior to use. Anyone who is sensitive to iodine, have an overactive thyroid, or has chronic low blood pressure should not consume sea moss without the advisement of a physician. This product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.
